How We Are Funded

Force Support programs and services are funded in different ways, depending on their function. Funding comes from appropriated funds (APFs), nonappropriated funds (NAFs), or a combination of both. Many activities and programs are funded through your patronage. When you visit an activity, you help generate revenue for the base Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Fund. This provides salaries, facility improvements, new equipment, and expanded programming. In addition, the Force Support Squadron uses the MWR fund to enhance base-wide events.
